The machining theorem of skived fin heat sinks is to utilize the skived fin’s characteristics of one-time forming based on plasticity of the materials (extruded aluminum or aluminum alloys). Therefore, there is no need for further machining or joining process and the finished product of skived fin heat sinks can remain the original material’s thermal performance.
